Taufik Hidayat
Taufik Hidayat, a committed volunteer and staff member at Sokola Institute, is currently part of the Hakola Humba initiative, facilitating a literacy program for the Marapu indigenous community in West Sumba, East Nusa Tenggara. He graduated from the Faculty of Agriculture at Universitas Andalas in Padang, where he was actively involved in KOMMA FP-UA (the Nature-Loving Student Group of the Faculty of Agriculture, Universitas Andalas) and other organizations beyond campus.
Previously, Taufik contributed to the Sokola Rimba program in Jambi. With a deep interest in agricultural issues within indigenous communities, Taufik views agriculture as essential not only for food security but also as a vital component of tradition, culture, education, environmental sustainability, and community independence. His work emphasizes the empowerment and sustainable well-being of indigenous communities through agriculture.
